8"x10" – After years of making recipe journals, we’ve found 8×10 to be the ideal size for nearly everyone — substantial yet still practical, and meant to live open on a kitchen counter.
Page Layout Options
You have 2 options for how your pages are laid out:
Spacious – Your book comes with each recipe as a full spread, allowing for 80 recipes, and a lot of room on each page. Great for those with larger handwriting, very detailed recipes, or if you prefer an entire spread devoted to a single recipe.
Compact – Your book comes with a full recipe on each side of the page spread (Full recipe page on each left and right). This allows for 160 recipes; ample room to write recipes but not as spread out as Layout 1. Great for those with LOTS of recipes to write down.

Cover Design
This handcrafted and hand-bound journal features a full-length, curved fold-over flap over the front cover, with a wrap-around leather strap enclosure.

Our leathers are USA tanned, premium full-grain cowhides chosen for their rustic yet beautiful character.
Due to the nature of the authentic leather hides, there will always be variation and uniqueness from one journal to the next.
Each hide will have some degree of "pull-up," which refers to color variation where the leather is creased or bent; which gives the rustic and distressed appearance. Pull-up creases go away with rubbing the leather with a cloth or by hand.
